From file to certificate in five steps — with the two design decisions that make the verdict trustworthy: deterministic rules decide, and coverage is stated honestly.
The label goes in — as a file or as photographs
Drop print-ready artwork (PDF), or photograph the physical pack with your phone. Guided capture walks you front → back → side, checks each shot is readable before accepting it, and assembles the photos into one label. The check records how the label arrived — artwork or photos, and which panel is which — because a photographed pack and a print file deserve different scrutiny.
The rulebook reads it
Your markets and product type select the applicable rules from an encoded, versioned rulebook of EU feed law. Each rule carries its legal citation down to the article — the rulebook doesn't paraphrase the regulation, it points at it.
Two kinds of checks run. Deterministic checks measure and compare — is the best-before date present, is the analytical-constituents text at least the minimum legible size, do the declared percentages add up. Their verdicts are reproducible: run them twice, get the same answer. AI judgement handles what only reading can catch — a phrase that reads like a medicinal claim, an ambiguous emphasis — and every AI opinion is independently cross-examined before it earns a place in your queue.
Only deterministic checks can block a label. An AI judgement is capped at “review this” — it can never fail your label on its own, no matter how confident it sounds.
The verdict lands — per market, in plain words
“Not ready for France — 2 things block it.” Each finding is pinned to the exact spot on your artwork, states what's wrong in one sentence, and cites the article it comes from. The coverage matrix shows what was checked for each market and domain — and where our rulebook doesn't yet cover a market's domain, the cell says INCOMPLETE instead of pretending.

The fix walkthrough turns findings into a work queue: the correction, the spot on the artwork, the citation, one card at a time. Low-certainty observations stay folded away so the queue is only things worth acting on. Sign off — and keep the proof
A reviewer signs the check. The certificate pins the exact ruleset version the label was checked against and the artwork's cryptographic fingerprint, on a hash-chained audit trail anyone can verify. When a retailer, an inspector or your own auditor asks how you know this label was compliant on the day it shipped — that's the document you hand them.

- What file formats can I upload?
- Print-ready PDF artwork works best. From a phone, the guided capture takes photos directly — front, back and side of the pack — and assembles them into one label for checking.
- Why can't AI findings block my label?
- Because a blocker must be reproducible. Deterministic checks measure the same thing the same way every time, so their verdicts can carry that weight. AI reading is genuinely useful for spotting risky phrasing — so it's in the product — but it surfaces as “review this”, independently verified, and never as an automatic fail.
- What does INCOMPLETE mean in the coverage matrix?
- It means our rulebook doesn't yet encode that market's rules for that domain, so nothing was checked there — and the check says so instead of inferring a pass. You always know the boundary of what was verified.
- Can my consultant or lab keep working with us?
